Fish Bowl

A fish bowl is a fun summer drink that is perfect for a party. People love it because its sweet and tropical. I decided to add some swedish fish to the pitcher so that it looks like actual fish are swimming throughout the fish bowl. Enjoy this drink at your next party!

Ingredients:
  • 5 oz Vodka
  • 5 oz Malibu Rum (if you don't have rum, just double the vodka)
  • 3 oz Blue Curacao
  • 6 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 16 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 16 oz Sprite
  • Slices Lime, Lemon, and Orange
  • Swedish fish
Recipe:
  • I wanted the fish to float throughout the pitcher like it was an actual fishbowl, so I froze some swedish fish in icecubes. I like big iccubes in pitchers so I used cupcake tins as ice cube trays. I think this added a really fun and unique touch to the drink.

  • Place ice cubes on the bottom of a pitcher.
  • Add the vodka, rum, sweet and sour mix, juice, and sprite to the pitcher. Stir together.
  • Add the lime, orange, and lemon slices.

I LOVE zucchini bread and I LOVE Nutella so I knew these muffins would be over the top. They certainly did not disappoint. I'll be making these again soon. This recipe will make 12 muffins.

Three Layered Mexican Dip

This is the most delicious dip EVER. Its definitely one of my favorites. I've been making this since I was in high school. Every time I go to a party it is expected that I bring this dip, and it is literally gone in a blink in an eye. People go crazy over it.

The best part is that it literally only takes five minutes to put together and requires just three ingredients!

What you'll need:
8 X 8 inch square pan
One 8 oz package of cream cheese
One 15 oz can of chili with beans (I use Hormel Chili)
Shredded Mexican Cheese
Tortilla Chips

Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the entire package of cream cheese on the bottom of the pan. Pour chili on top of the cream cheese. Finally, cover the entire dish with shredded cheese. Bake the dip for 15 minutes or until all the cheese is melted. Serve with chips and enjoy!!

Look at this gooey goodness!!!

Food List Challenge

So there is a challenge going around on Facebook to test if you are truly a foodie. The Food List Challenge gives you 100 items that they believe you should try before you die. They hypothesize that most people have tried less that 20 items on the list. I was a little dissapointed that I've only tried 41 items on the list. Being the food lover that I am, I thought I would have tried more!

I don't know where they came up with some of the items on the list. I feel like I am pretty adventurous and open with food, but I would never try things on the list like squirrel or snake. Suprisingly though, most of the things I've crossed off are some of my favorite foods like baklava, cheese fondue, chile rellano, churros, clam chowder, crab cakes...ok I could continue, but you get the point..I have a lot of favorites!!

Here are the items on the list. I've crossed off the ones I have tried. How did you score?
